DISEASES & TREATMENT
What is Ozone Therapy?

The Treatment of various diseases using Ozone (O3), converted from pure medical grade Oxygen (O2), is called Ozone Therapy. Medical Ozone is an Ozone-Oxygen gas mixture. According to the application and indication, Ozone Concentration in the mixture ranges from 1 to 100mcg/ml, (0.05% and 5% Ozone), rest is Oxygen.
Ozone molecule is unstable. Within 20 minutes at room temperature, only half of the original Ozone remains, the rest become oxygen. Therefore it is always freshly prepared on site (in a special generator) for immediate administration. Increase temperature decreases its half life. The Ozone therapist, a trained physician, determines the dosage according to the medical indication and the patient’s condition.
Which conditions can be treated by Ozone Therapy?
Indications:
1. Diabetic ulcers
2. Ulcers due to arterial insufficiency
3. Venous ulcers
4. Non healing wounds
5. Burns
6. Accidental wounds
7. Intractable fistulas and wounds - often seen as a result of surgical operation. Example, infected mesh following inguinal hernia operations, fistula following acute appendicitis with diffuse peritonitis, anal fistulas following incision and drainage for perienal abscesses, etc.
Ozonated oil applied to intractable wounds after debridement shows rapid epithelization and closure of the wounds.
